Presenting an inspiring example of growth in a digital business, the story of a young mother-son duo Aditya and Soniya Sharma and their small tarot business took a turn for the better when they began following the work of India’s leading digital coach Siddharth Rajsekar, and grew their business manifold in a few years.
Having recently achieved the milestone of Rs 4 crores in revenue in just 18 months, it began with a 19-year-old Aditya building and nurturing a community of 100 students initially but finding himself unable to make an impact.
That’s where he turned to his mother, who he realised was, in his own words, “an entrepreneur at home actually solving a problem in the offline world by empowering a community of women become self-aligned using tarot”. As they embarked on a journey of discovery, they joined Siddharth Rajsekar’s Quantum Club in what was a paradigm shift in their business model and practice.
Quantum is a 12-month mastermind program of the Internet Lifestyle Hub where only 25 founders that get access to a custom plan, monthly coaching, live retreat, accountability, and in-depth support to scale businesses to ?1 crore per month with a high level of automation, systemisation and delegation.
Guided by the principles put in place by Quantum, the idea the mother-son duo found their niche in tarot and worked on was to create a solid product, instead of chasing a formula or method that works. They began to develop products for their customers, instead of finding customers for their products and making them go down the sales funnel.
With Aditya also going through a personal growth journey, as he returned to India from Canada halfway through his studies, they co-created the story of how a son stepped in to help his mom grow in her tarot business. The momentum reached a fever pitch for the duo — where they made a sale of about 45 lakhs with just three emails sent out to their community.
Now on a mission of making one million women self-reliant using the power of tarot and bringing tarot into the mainstream, they had three key learnings over the course of their initial months implementing Siddharth Rajsekar’s Freedom Business Model.
First, to solve a bigger problem and create impact with the right foundation. Second, your customers are not numbers on the spreadsheet but real people who need to trust you. When the focus shifts from earning money to creating value, the real process begins. Third, it’s about creating freedom and having fun along the way.
As their risk pays off, the duo is helping aspiring and existing tarot card readers learn the trade, become confident in their practice through their detailed course, and find clientele of their own in different segments and markets.
